What an incredibly exciting time to be alive! Since 2012 humanity has been experiencing very powerful shifts in energy and awareness. The veils that have kept us from seeing the true nature of reality are being removed, and this cosmic saga will continue to get even more intense as we passage deeper into 2015.

As we transition through important points in this year’s solar cycle, the nature of what reality actually is will truly be discovered, and there are a number of important astrological alignments in store for us to help the process along.

So what are we experiencing exactly? In this article I wish to offer an astrological perspective of the nature of our awakening to which you are able to add practical ideas and ways of integrating it into your life.

If you have lost the ability to have fun in your life, it is because your inner child is looking for unconditional love, nurturing and integration. Connect with that innocent, trusting you. Vow to keep it safe so it will want to come forward. Include your beloved inner child in your day to day life. The more you care for and protect that aspect of yourself, the more you will feel secure and open enough to be silly, to play, to have fun, to imagine, and to find and follow that path of joy that your soul wishes to embrace. ~Archangel Gabriel

We all have that one friend on Facebook that occasionally pops up offering up an opportunity for us to live vicariously through their experiences. They post up photos of sunsets in highly desirable locations on the other side of the world and at first it amuses, then promotes wanderlust, we have a little daydream about our next vacation and then the jealousy sinks in. Although, I just made that generalisation up so if that resonates with you in any way then you’ve come to the right blog post.

Scientific knowledge is expanding every day at an exponential rate, and the implications of new developments, particularly those that challenge the current framework regarding the true nature of reality, are far-reaching indeed. One area that continues to become a focal point of study for many physicians and neuroscientists is the relationship between mind, brain, and consciousness.

Is the brain a receiver of consciousness, or is consciousness a product of the brain? Although science has not yet shown with absolute certainty that consciousness exists separately from our physical organs, there is a lot of evidence (both anecdotal and scientific) which indicates that consciousness is something completely separate – that it continues on even after we have deceased, that it is and can be a separate “thing” from the brain. There seems to be a lot of consistency when it comes to studies that have examined this issue. New findings within this field are rapidly changing how we perceive and relate to the physical world.

The ‘voice within’ is just that – an inner voice that you can connect with and receive advice, guidance and general assistance from along your developing spiritual path. You can call your inner voice whatever you want, and the most popular label it’s usually given is the ‘higher self’.

It doesn’t matter what you call this voice that constantly assists you, nor does it matter how your refer to the numerous spiritual guides you each have at your disposal, who wait for any opportunity to help you along your difficult but necessary evolution back into the higher states of consciousness you seek to anchor onto earth.

The biggest factor that stops people from connecting with their inner voice is the unwillingness to believe that any sort of ‘higher self’ or spiritual guides exist or seek to help them along the spiritual path. We do exist and we do want to help you, but we’d never force our assistance onto anyone – especially those who are unwilling to believe in it.

Most people think they know, but they don’t really – “know”.

Identification with mind, ideas and thoughts create a ‘pseudo’ knowing of people, places and things. This ‘surface’ knowing never touches the ‘essence’ of knowing.

Essence is the ‘source’ of reality and truth. It is the knowing ‘within us’, unlike the struggle of the mind to understand and discover reality and truth.

Seldom do we touch reality in ourselves, or another, and because of that, we know nothing at all.
