How to Find Your Inner Muse (Inspiration)
By Manal Ghosain | One With Now
Where does inspiration come from?
Can we set ourselves up to attract more inspiration into our lives?
Looking for inspiration can be a challenge. Inspiration comes in waves; it ebbs and flows. It remains a mystery to me. Doing the same things may, or may not, inspire us.
Quantum Mechanics and the End of Materialism
Many people consider the advent of quantum mechanics as the single biggest achievement in science. And there is good reason to believe that since it has revamped our view of the world in a drastic manner. An example in point would be the non-materialistic view of Earth.
Since the inception of the scientific method, the world has been viewed as consisting of tangible things – a cluster of three dimensional bodies. However, the study of quantum mechanics led us to believe that the world is nothing but a wave of material possibilities that manifest before our eyes. In short, we observe our reality and that it doesn’t exist in a predefined, materialistic manner.

Satori – The Zen Concept of Enlightenment and Self-realisation
“You and I sip a cup of tea. That act is apparently alike to us both, but who can tell what a wide gap there is subjectively between your drinking and my drinking? In your drinking there may be no Zen, while mine is brim-full of it. The reason for it is : you move in a logical circle and I am out of it.” ~ Introduction-Zen-Buddhism, D.T. Suzuki
In Zen Buddhism, Satori is ‘a glimpse of truth’ or a sudden moment of awakening. Unlike what many believe, Satori is just a natural state of human mind, which is lost in the pursuit of materialistic desires and following the status quo. We, as souls, are infinite beings of light and live in the present moment, connected to cosmos at all times. But with everyday, mundane complications, we tend to lose our natural state of being i.e. Satori.
Former Senator: American Youth Need To Revolt Against Corrupted Government
Gary Hart, the former senator from Colorado who twice sought the presidency in the 1980s, made a fervent plea for American youth to summon the courage necessary to revolt against the hopelessly corrupt government:
“The question is: by adhering to the highest principles and ideals, will America continue to have the moral authority to lead all people of goodwill? The answer remains to be seen. And that answer will have much to do with whether we have the courage to drive the money changers from the temple of democracy and recapture the government of the people, for the people, and by the people.”
Hart’s impassioned plea to wipe the slate clean, published in Time, was part of a scathing essay on the current United States government’s categorical departure from the lofty populist roots of its birth. Describing the corruption as so thoroughly interwoven that nothing shy of a gutting could affect any improvement, Hart disparaged Congress and the President alike for the hypocrisy of malfeasance come to law.
Waiting For You
I know there has been pain. Circumstances in your life may have made you doubt the flow of The Universe, scream, cry and curse at the wind. Those moments may have made you doubt the existence of your Higher Power. It would be easy to say, “I have always been with you”, but truly hard to understand when you were in the throes of your deep hurt.
The Universe has always waited silently and patiently for you to end your trials, supporting and loving you unconditionally…..always ready, always willing to give to you what you feel you have lost. You may not always believe it, but I am here forevermore. ~ Creator

5 Ways Our Ancestors Used To Get Rid of Headaches Naturally
Karen Foster, Prevent Disease
Waking Times
Many people instantly reach out to allopathic medicines (aspirin, paracetamol, etc.) as soon as they get a headache. It is not that they are unaware of the side-effects; they are, but situations such as an important meeting ahead, a toddler nagging them, etc., increase the urgency to be rid of the headache! Understandable! Nobody likes headaches. But, next time, please try one of these proven folk remedies before you pop a pill.
1. Boil water. Add a spoonful of coriander seeds.
Let it boil for a while till you are able to smell the coriander strongly. Switch off the stove and add half a spoon of tea leaves to the concoction. Close the vessel, and let it stand for a few minutes. Filter and drink it as it is without adding any sweeteners. Sleep or sit down and relax for just ten minutes. If you are lucky, your headache will be gone by this time.
Beet Juice Boosts Cognitive Function In One Dose
By Sayer Ji

Could beet juice provide you a brain boost superior to coffee or tea?
Recently, Deanna Minich, PhD, founder of Food and Spirit, brought to my attention an amazing new study on beets and their role in promoting cognitive health. She summarized the study as follows:
“One recent study in 40 healthy people showed that they were able to better perform on cognitive tests 90 minutes after drinking 450 mL beetroot juice compared with placebo (apple/blackcurrant juice, which is low in nitrates). What I really like about this study is that brain performance can be improved fairly rapidly in healthy people with a simple activity like drinking beetroot juice (high in dietary nitrates, which leads to more nitric oxide to open up oxygen flow in the brain).”

The 9 Best Fermented Foods for Your Gut
By Dr. Edward Group
Guest Writer for Wake Up World
Fermented food has made a comeback in recent years, partially thanks to the popularization of Weston A. Price teachings. Fermented foods like sauerkraut and kimchi aren’t considered to be the most appealing types of food; however, research exploring these and other fermented products on gut, brain, and body health has revitalized public interest.
The fermentation process encourages essential bacteria such as Lactobacilli and Bifidobacteria to flourish. This makes fermentation a good source of probiotics for vegans, since many fermented foods are plant based. Vegetables are submerged in a salty brine during preparation to kill off dangerous, pathogenic bacteria. The good bacteria break down lactose and other sugars and starches in the food, making digestion easier. And once they reach your gut, they continue to help break down food and keep out bad guys like E. coli and C. difficile.
