You are on the planet to be you, to express and experience your delightful you-ness in whatever ways feel best to you. Others are on the planet to do the very same thing. If we want to emotionally survive in this world, we’ll want to learn to roll with the punches and let things go. Things will happen each day that we’d rather ignore or hide from, and the best thing we can do is embrace them and ask ourselves how we can solve the problems they’ve presented.

Or, we can hide away and hate the world for the challenges it gives us. It’s easy to stay rooted in our own negativity, which can pop up at random times over silly things that, when we look back on, we wonder why we reacted so strongly to, but happiness will seem further and further away if we do.

I’ve had plenty of experience with the self-created negativity that comes with facing challenges, and it’ll get us down and keep us from shining our light all day if we let it. It’s far more worth our time to willingly meet the challenges we face as we flow through life, but as long as we let it, the mind’s rigidity will keep us from handling challenge in a centered way.

To all those who have a recurring pattern of freezing up when wanting to move forward with something:

Banish the reality this moment of 'freezing up' with your work/love/abundance/anything. The you who froze is an illusion, a concept created by old fears that no longer live in your neighbourhood.

You are flowing with creative water. You are creative water flowing. That is who you are, and who you have always been. The ice is now shattered like the illusion that held it together.

Here are 23 potent reminders for the advanced spiritual seeker, serving as guide to his or her inner journey toward light and bliss:

1. Perspective — Use It or Lose It. If you turned to this page, you’re forgetting that what is going on around you is not reality. Think about that.

2. Remember where you came from, where you’re going, and why you created the mess you got yourself into in the first place.

3. You are led through your lifetime by the inner learning creature, the playful spiritual being that is your real self. Don’t turn away from possible futures before you’re certain you don’t have anything to learn from them. You’re always free to change your mind and choose a different future, or a different past.

Never interfere with the beliefs of another -- they will learn in their own time that beliefs are merely a crutch for the mind to stand on for support.

The mind cannot heal itself, or realize the essence of our being. Something more is needed.

The believer will learn over time, or even lifetimes, that beliefs do not lead to truth.

Feelings originate in the heart and lead to knowing and an understanding of self. They place us in touch in a way the mind is not accustomed to.

Feelings provide inner intimacy and reveal our knowing self and truth is the recognition and expression of our true beingness.

Einstein’s famous phrase stating that ‘No problem can be solved from the same level of consciousness that created it’ seemed to appear with increasing regularity last year, in both conversations and publications. Why? Because I believe even the most dedicated hedonists are feeling the pervasive disquiet (and anticipation) percolating through the collective consciousness of humanity at this time, as the true scale of environmental vandalism, economic disparity and social injustice reaches breaking point. Einstein’s stark, abrupt and challenging phrase is a powerful pause and reset button. It forces us to stop, look, listen and find the courage to dig deep into uncharted territory. It calls for the will to deliberately steer our mind-body-spirit vehicle out of the illusory comfort of the middle lane and to consciously choose a path of exploration and acceleration into the borderless world of the imagination.
