Of all the mysteries known to us, there is one in particular that remains both incredibly elusive and frustratingly close to home: consciousness. Religions have formed over it, wars have been fought because of different claims regarding it (and still are), and scientist and sage alike have debated it down the ages. There is now even a question of whether or not our machines will one day be able to claim it.

Since the beginning there has been an infinite coveted quest for immortality. We see it in movies, books, and fantasies across the globe. In ancient cultures different practices are being used to achieve the path to immortality or the path to eternal life. But the question we are asking here today is.. is it possible? And if so, which path is the path to immortality?

As we know the meridians in our bodies are the energy pathways that link up to each chakra or meridian energy center and there are three “mainstream” teachings of these paths.

We will now look at three ancient teachings and the differences between them to discover which pathway we can use to achieve immortality.

The most epic battle in history is the ongoing tug-of-war between ego and spirit.  These two seemingly opposing forces that operate within us can cause a great deal of stress, confusion, and misery within us.  There seems to be three main outlooks on the battle between the ego and spirit that people seem to take:

1. The ego is a tool and is to be used, not forgotten

2. We are supposed to find balance in between the two and use them in harmony

3. The ego is supposed to be transcended

Let’s take a closer look at each of these three options and see if they are true what their implications are.

The ego is a tool

July continues the forward thrust of late June – then invites do-overs that will make our eventual landing more solid and stable.

The state of our security is in focus as July begins. The Capricorn Full Moon on July 1 tests the firmness of our foundations. How do we feel about them? About our goals at this point? Both have undergone quite the beating and reshaping of late. Do we will want to trudge along this particular road while it figures out what it’s going to be and where exactly it’s going? Maybe; maybe not. We may, in fact, want more — and are not merely open to a brighter path, but outright expecting it.

Such assured optimism spills over into relationships, which also buzz with potential and possibilities. You may know people who hold keys and resources. The more open you are, the more likely they are to share. Open does not mean aggressive, though. Making demands and slamming fists on the table are overkill. Gentleness and receptivity are the winning combo, especially on July 8 and July 13. They will deliver the way around (or coping mechanism for) the immovables that present themselves now.

Sexuality is closely associated to spirituality in many ways. Although the topic of sex arouses a strong reaction and is often viewed as an obstacle on the path of spiritual development due to the wild nature of sexual energy. Sexual energy is the primal and creative energy of the universe, it opens our heart to love, and enable us to experience deep meditative states and mystical bliss.

Many wise traditions consider the peak moment of sexual energy the death of the ego. When somebody experiences intimacy and reaches orgasm, we feel vulnerable, defenseless, carefree and there is a sense of timelessness. These are the characteristics and true nature of our spirit. Living your life with this level of intimacy would allow the creative energy of the universe to merge with your spirit. Wouldn’t that make it important to be aware with who you share this intimacy with?

What is love? Love is flow, openness, acceptance, inclusion. It is what energizes, expands, encourages and uplifts. It is the essence of your beingness, your highest expression of truth and self. It is your innate goodness and God-ness, gloriously expressed. ~Archangel Gabriel
