Confession time: I used to think it was my job to take on other people’s problems — especially in my closest relationships.

Quite honestly? I did it to feel better about myself. But every single time I tried to fix or help, I ended up pushing those I loved away rather than creating the closeness I craved.

They were like: “Hey, I’m a big boy/girl! I know how to take care of this myself!”

And then I was like: “You know what? You DO have you own inner resources to take care of you. WHY was I making this about myself?”

As a creative, empathetic, feeling and intuitive being, I can “feel” the people around me, especially those I care about and love the most. It’s hard for me not to get involved.

What if our food has been getting less and less nutritious? Wild dandelions, once a springtime treat for Native Americans, have seven times more phytonutrients than spinach, which we consider a “superfood.” A purple potato native to Peru has 28 times more cancer-fighting anthocyanins than common russet potatoes. One species of apple has a staggering 100 times more phytonutrients than the Golden Delicious displayed in our supermarkets.

Unlike the Obama administration, Iceland is focusing on prosecuting the CEOs rather than the low-level traders.

In a move that would make many capitalists’ head explode if it ever happened here, Iceland just sentenced their 26^th banker to prison for their part in the 2008 financial collapse.

In two separate Icelandic Supreme Court and Reykjavik District Court rulings, five top bankers from Landsbankinn and Kaupping — the two largest banks in the country — were found guilty of market manipulation, embezzlement, and breach of fiduciary duties. Most of those convicted have been sentenced to prison for two to five years. The maximum penalty for financial crimes in Iceland is six years, although their Supreme Court is currently hearing arguments to consider expanding sentences beyond the six year maximum.

Chuck Norris is frustrated over the health risks caused by the world’s most popular weedkiller.

Earlier this year, the World Health Organization (WHO) deemed the chemical concoction glyphosate, which is the main ingredient in Monsanto’s #1 weedkiller Roundup, to be “probably carcinogenic.” 

While some countries scrambled to ban Monsanto’s herbicide shortly after the announcement, nations like the United States did nothing to prevent the further use and spread of the incredibly toxic concoction. 

Dear Ones, as a human beings you will often have a tendency to overthink things, especially things that are important to you. Be aware that while being mindful is good and definitely recommended, overthinking can cause stress and stagnation.

If you are unsure of how to proceed in any situation, the simplest solution is to simply choose love. What is the most loving action you can take? Love is the solution, you see, because love is the flow, the expander, the healer, the connector, the leader, that you seek. ~Archangel Gabriel

TAKE CHANCES, MAKE CHANGES   We cannot overemphasize the necessity of looking within and pulling out the thoughts that keep you from experiencing your dreams. Know beyond any doubt that you are loved and worthy of all the Earth has to offer. You did not come here to be in misery or to solve all the problems of the world. You did not come here to save the souls of others.

You came here to enjoy this realm and to be part of the solution, yet when you wallow in negative thinking, you create more problems. You have the ability to change your thoughts by focusing on things you desire. You have the ability to change your actions by doing the things you want. You have the ability to change your words by expressing your truth. You have the ability to change your attitude by focusing on gratitude.

Only you can make you happy. Do not give this power to others. Recognize that at all times, each of you is doing the best you can. Sometimes you may know what you are doing is harmful to others, yet fear and belief codes motivate you to continue.

No one knows the moment when death will knock on his door. Death could be imminent, and then its arrival could be postponed. No one knows when the bells toll. Without notice, without warning, without a perused written or verbal contract, the life of your body can be whisked away in the blink of an eye. There is no insurance policy to prevent death of a body. An insurance policy would not be worth the paper it is written on. Sometimes so-called death has a quick-claim. Sometimes death reverses its decision.

Your body wears no armor. How much protection against death does skin give? No guarantee comes with your body. You have no certain lease on physical life. Uncertainty is your middle name. Uncertainty befits you.

You could have protested about life all your life-long, and, yet, at the moment of death’s arrival, you resist. You fight tooth and nail. Death seems to be like a bully and a trickster. Show-off death. You may not have wanted to keep your life that much, yet you sure don’t want to give it up now. Life was lovelier than you knew. Death has no right to take you away from this life. For all intents and purposes, this particular life is the only one you know. It is precious. Your life ought to have rights.
